Job Information

Amentum Quality Control Specialist 2.2 in Mannheim, Germany

Purpose: Assists with evaluating established and approved internal and external processes and procedures to identify non-compliances, non-conformances, inconsistencies, or opportunities for improvements within the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Verify established and approved internal and external processes and procedures meet quality standards by surveilling them, identifying possible process noncompliance’s or opportunities for improvements.

  • Assists with process development by providing feedback on design and building features relational to requirements.

  • Recommend changes in methods to improve process.

  • Provides assistance to functional areas as they achieve and sustain ISO 9001 standards.

  • Is a quality “champion” by promoting, teaching, and presenting quality as a means for product improvement and efficiency.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation in conjunction with our customer’s guidance.

  • Interfaces with contractors Management team to resolve quality-related problems.

  • Assists with verifying the contractual and corporate compliance of work performed as it relates to quality.

  • Other duties that may be assigned to meet company goals and objectives.

Qualification & Experience Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • The candidate must possess experience with surveillances, inspections and evaluations of quality control processes and programs.

  • The candidate must possess documented knowledge of current industry best practices including ISO standards and processes.

  • The candidate must have organizational, analytical, written and oral communication skills.

  • The candidate must have 1 to 3 years of related experience quality type programs.

  • Candidate must be highly familiar with automated systems, processes and methodologies pertaining to a Quality Management System and ISO 9001: standards.

  • High School graduate or equivalent

  • Associates degree in a related field is highly desirable but not required.

  • Must possess the ability to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levels.

  • Must possess the ability to work well under pressure and around tight deadlines.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

  • Must have or be able to obtain a US Passport.

Specialized knowledge and skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), and other software programs to assist with special projects.

  • Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA) is desirable.

  • Certified Quality Process Analyst (CQPA) is desirable.

  • ISO 9001 Auditor Training Course Certificate is desirable

2) PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively up to a 48-hour work week.

  • Must be able to endure long hours (overtime as required).

3) WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and outside weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to situations where risk of electrical shock and vibration exist. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

  • Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, mainly sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

  • May be required to deploy on missions on short notice at the direction of the PMO.
