Master Builders Solutions Global IT Security Manager (hybrid from EU) in Mannheim, Germany

As the IT Security Manager at Master Builders Solutions, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of the organization's information IT security program. You will oversee all aspects of information security, including but not limited to, security policies, procedures, risk management, compliance, incident response, and security awareness training. Your primary goal is to protect the organization's sensitive information assets, systems, and networks from internal and external threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Information Security Strategy:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with business objectives.

• Establish and maintain security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.

  1. Risk Management:

• Identify, assess, and prioritize information security risks.

• Implement risk mitigation measures to reduce the likelihood and impact of security incidents.

  1. Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, etc.).

• Stay up-to-date with evolving compliance standards and regulations.

  1. Security Operations:

• Oversee the operation of security systems and tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, etc.).

• Monitor security events and incidents, investigate and respond as necessary.

  1. Incident Response and Management:

• Develop and maintain an incident response plan.

• Lead incident response efforts in the event of security breaches or incidents.

  1. Security Awareness and Training:

• Develop and deliver security awareness programs for employees.

• Provide security training to ensure staff are aware of security risks and best practices.

  1. Vendor Management:

• Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and service providers.

• Ensure vendors comply with security requirements and standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC) is preferred.

• Proven experience (5 years) in a senior information security role, preferably as a IT Security Manager or equivalent.

• In-depth knowledge of information security principles, practices, technologies, and standards.

• Strong understanding of risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

• Experience in developing and implementing information security strategies and programs.

• Proficiency in incident response, including incident detection, analysis, and resolution.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and tactically about security issues.

• Experience in managing security operations and teams.

• Ability to stay abreast of emerging security threats and technologies, and adapt security strategies accordingly.

Experience:

• 5 years of experience in information security roles.

• 3 years of experience in a leadership or management position.

• Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g. Chemical Industry) is a plus.
