Shift Supervisor - Mankato, MN

This is a full-time, exempt position.

This position supervises daily activities of a soybean processing plant.

Job Description:

  • assist in workflow and scheduling

  • implement operational procedures

  • enforce company plans, policies, and rules

  • use experience and judgment to plan and achieve goals

  • contribute to goals and objectives of department and plant

  • monitor and record operational changes in procedures/process swings

  • determine direction of safe and efficient operation consistent with management’s daily objectives

  • maintain an environment free of unrelated work issues that would hinder employees in the facility

  • troubleshooting and problem solving

  • Commitment to ADM’s goal of achieving a zero injury culture by being an active participant in safety programs

  • Understand and follow company safety procedures

Job Requirements:

  • Promotes the ADM Way and Core Values

  • Be active and participate in safety programs

  • Learn and follow written rules and procedures

  • Produce accurate documentation

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Regular, prompt attendance is expected and the ability to work 12 hour shifts, weekends and holidays (vacancy will be on the 2nd, 3rd or relief shift)

  • Able to work in a variety of conditions, such as hot and cold temperatures, dusty environments

  • Able to climb stairs, bending, kneeling, lifting, sitting/standing for long periods of time, work with heights and confined spaces

  • General computer knowledge (Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, data entry skills)

  • Excellent oral/communication skills

  • Leadership characteristics, able to motivate others and demonstrate team building skills

  • Proactive involvement in safety

  • Strong organization and documentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal and conflict management/resolution skills

  • Good mechanical skills preferred

  • Able to represent management professionally and efficiently to internal/external customers
