Job Functions (Essential) Plan, initiate, and manage logistics projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule and scope Analyze all aspects of corporate logistics to determine the most cost-effective and efficient means of transporting products or supplies Direct inbound and outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities and logistics quality management Coordinate the transportation and storage of imported and exported goods Monitor or trace the location of goods, anticipate schedule or priority delays, and initiate plans for alternative actions Interface with internal and external customers on schedules, meetings, and problems Audit carrier partners billing detail files for mistakes and notify appropriate personnel of findings Maintain vendor database with updated contracts and rates Keep management informed of progress, developments and pending problems Support continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of uniform and consistent processes Support Import/Export and CTPAT area as needed.
