CITY OF MANITOWOC Seasonal Pool Specialist in MANITOWOC, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: POSITION PURPOSE Responsible for the condition of and care of the Aquatic Center and associated buildings and grounds. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Operate and maintain Aquatic Center including but not limited to swimming pools, pumps, strainers, filters, and chemical control systems. React and rectify pool problems. Operate and maintain pool vacuums. Clean pool deck, deck furniture, slides, and other pool apparatus. Maintain irrigation systems. Clean restrooms thoroughly each day and inspect prior to leaving for the day. Cut and trim all grass areas as needed. Weed and cultivate shrubs, bushes and flowers as needed. Ability to recognize unsafe conditions for correction and report it. Perform other duties as assigned. OTHER DUTIES Mechanical repair abilities KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Ability to read and interpret policy manuals established for work environment. Ability to comprehend and follow repair manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with Department staff, City employees and the general public. Ability to understand and apply mathematic concepts. Ability to apply situational reasoning ability by exercising good judgment in which may be a stressful situation, decisiveness and creativity in complex situations.
