Up to \$35 per hour + \$1.00 per hour for 2nd shift premium Broadwind Heavy Fabrications is hiring! We are looking for a Machinist for our 2nd shift (Monday-Thursday 3pm-1am).The main focus of the Machinist is operating machinery to meet print/drawing specifications. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS(May include some or all of the following responsibilities) Set-up, adjust and operate machine to run recurring projects according to project prints.This also requires set up of part on machining work area. Ability to read and understand machining print symbols necessary. Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometer and calipers. Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications. Ability to safely operate overhead crane, scissor lift, and forklift equipment. High school diploma or GED required. Two year technical degree in Machining or relevant experience required.
