Harbor Steel & Supply Corporation Saw Operator (Steel) in Manistee, Michigan

Harbor Steel & Supply is looking for a skilled Saw Operator to join our team and specialize in cutting steel materials. The ideal candidate will operate sawing equipment to accurately and efficiently cut steel according to specifications. 

We are willing to train the right candidate. Experience with cutting steel a plus. 

Responsibilities:

  • Operate sawing machinery to cut steel materials accurately and safely.
  • Review work orders, blueprints, or specifications to determine cut dimensions and tolerances.
  • Set up and adjust sawing equipment for optimal performance and precise cuts.
  • Monitor the cutting process to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Inspect cut pieces for accuracy, quality, and any defects.
  • Maintain equipment by performing regular maintenance and cleaning tasks.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Hourly Wage: From $17.00 per hour with Bonuses
