As a Systems Application Engineer, your main interfaces would include the internal delivery organization (development, product line management, project manager), and external delivery organization (e.g. third party vendors, customer’s system maintenance team).

You’ll break new ground by:

  • Supporting our Siemens Austrian team during the onsite maintenance and support period.

  • Supporting testing of the EnergyIP application / platform before any software/firmware update

  • Incident / Problem / Configuration and Knowledge Management

  • Incident and/or Defect investigation and diagnosis

  • Providing progress updates in relation to Incident and/or Defect investigations and diagnosis activities to the Customer

  • Initial assessment and validation of trouble tickets

  • Supporting the customer in monitoring the system

  • Escalation / Re-prioritization of trouble tickets with the internal service delivery organization based on customers request.

You’re success is grounded in:

  • Having a solid foundation in IT, with either a relevant educational background or equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrating 3-5 years of hands on experience in Linux

  • Possessing 3-5 years of expertise in SQL

  • Knowledge of VMWare is highly desirable

  • Familiarity with network administration and database management systems will be advantageous

  • Having work experience in a service desk / call center environment will be a plus

  • Fluency in English and showing an eagerness to learn

  • Having a polite and friendly service delivery/maintenance and support attitude

Planned working hours:

  • By default: Monday to Friday business hours (shifting)

  • Additionally: participation in 24/7 standby / schedule
