RELX INC Business Analytics Lead in Manila, Philippines

The Business Analytics will support analytical for the business and segment reports assigned by the BU. They will be responsible for auditing, updating, troubleshooting, and general maintenance of price data in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, price lists, price guides, pricing documentation for tactical deal pricing teams, and training documents. He/ She will also be the 1st point of contact for role/function concerns and escalations. He/ She responds to and fulfills requests for data analysis, data visualization, and reporting in a timely manner and with a high degree of accuracy. He/ She will also work on the pricing tools using VBA/macros to enhance and maintain models. Lastly, he/she will supervise a team member operationally.

Accountabilities:

  1. Performs data analysis and reporting utilizing a detailed knowledge of computer systems, data analysis and database management to support the needs of sales regions.

  2. Collects and manipulates data as well as create, design and develop queries to analyze, track and report internal data. (AVT Report, MSA Reports, Renewal Letter Data Report)

  3. Prepares reports and recommendations and participates in the analysis and interpretation of data as appropriate.

  4. Identifies and shares best practices amongst all sales support.

  5. Proactively seeks to improve knowledge and opportunities to learn about new and existing products and services available. Utilizes this knowledge in handling customer requests to add value to customer interactions.

  6. Design and develop reports and dashboards that are user-friendly, scalable across multiple teams, provide drill down capabilities, and supported by the agreed methods and tools.

  7. Perform advanced data hygiene checks and implement precautionary measures to ensure data quality.

  8. Verifies the collected data is within required quality standards.

  9. Play an active role in maintenance of reports, dashboards, and databases.

  10. Adheres to current standards (e.g. GDPR requirements).

  11. Create (wherever applicable) and maintain documentation related to data infrastructure, dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions and store in appropriate repositories.

  12. Enhance and maintain models for Pricing Tools using VBA.

  13. Evaluates effectiveness of pricing strategies and modifies pricing structures as needed.

  14. Provide recommendations in solving data related concerns.

  15. Provide actionable insights to BU using complex data analysis.

  16. Supports Business Units in various adhoc projects as needed.

  17. Train the New Hire

Qualifications:

  • Must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in any field

  • At least 2 years of solid working knowledge of SQL as well as strong computer skills in general

  • Experience in a business or sales environment analyzing data, writing SQL queries and developing reporting solutions

  • Knowledge in VBA/Macros (Basic-Intermediate)

  • Proficient in Microsoft software applications (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Access).

  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge in MS Excel (e.g. V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, etc.)

  • Background in Tableau and CRM tools are a plus

  • Salesforce Reports and Dashboards
