Although this is not an approved position, we are accepting applications for this future and anticipated need.Site Director*Site Director will oversee the entire City Sanctuary Facility provider operation at a specific sanctuary hotel site and will serve as the main liaison with the New York City Department of Homeless Services (DHS) Site Program Administrator. As a Site Director, your primary objective is to ensure the smooth functioning and success of the site under your supervision. Overall, as a Site Director, you play a pivotal role in driving the success of the site by ensuring operational excellence, fostering a positive work environment, and achieving organizational objectives.*Compensation & Benefits:Estimated Starting Salary Range for Site Director: 115KPay commensurate with experience.Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.Site Director Responsibilities Include:- Overseeing Cherokee LLC and subcontracted services in a matter ensuring that overall service delivery is provided in accordance with Cherokee's contract with NYC DHS.- Ensure there is staff with all appropriate certifications to manage and coordinate site building operations including appropriately certified fire safety personnel.- Ensure sufficient operational staffing is maintained at the site at all times and that clear coordination channels are facilitated with DHS Program Staff 24x7. In particular, the DHS Site Program Administrator.- Coordinate with housekeeping staff to ensure the facility is safe, clean, operational including rooms and common areas- Ensure a proactive and visible security presence at the Sanctuary Site. Security personnel (including both subcontractor and National Guard personnel) are to be located at both the front entrance of the building and throughout the facility at various posts.- Ensure appropriate maintenance and engineer staff is available to fix all building issues in a timely and efficient manner. This will be done in coordination with sanctuary site facilities personnel.- Ensure the proactive storage, distribution, and management of subcontracted food services, Cherokee provided MetroCard's for transportation services, as well as other services supporting targeted sanctuary site populations.- Proactively ensure the daily reporting of the Sanctuary Site census and other vacancy related information.- Ensure the facility staff and asylum-seeking individuals adhere to all rules outlined in the DHS revised standard of conduct and commercial hotel MOU.- Noncompliance should be addressed IAW DHS incident management procedures.- Ensure the proper allocation of office space and infrastructure for service provider staff to perform all administrative and service-related functions.- Space for staff to perform all service functions as outlined in this solicitation- Serve as the main point of contact with DHS's Site Program Administrator- Ensure all incidents are managed in accordance with DHS's published Incident Management Guidelines and Procedures. Including maintain a continuous open channel with the DHS Serious Incident Unit (SIU).- Performs other job-related duties as assignedSite Director Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience.- Master's degree in social work or other human services field preferred.- Two years of relevant experience working with people who enter the U.S. seeking asylum.- 3+ years of experience in program management.- Solid understanding of immigration laws, regulations, procedures, and benefits/entitlements.- Experience working on-site in a congregate housing setting.- Experience working with the NYC Department of Homeless Services shelter system.- Must be organized as well as, have excellent verbal, written and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families, collaborating agencies, and community professionals.- Strong customer service/ hospitality background, preferably with immigrant populations.- Able to effectively manage significant administrative and process documentation.- A self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and work independently.- Able to prioritize and be accountable for timeliness to complete projects in a timely manner.- Possess sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics.- Ability to organize, multitask and prioritize duties and responsibilities efficiently.- Spanish/English bilingual is preferred but not required.- Past applicable job experience may include, but is not limited to: Site Manager, Regional Manager, and/or Operations Manager.- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.Company Information:Cherokee Nation Management and Consulting (CNMC) provides support, services, and solutions to federal and commercial customers.
