Bowery Residents Committee Program Compliance Coordinator - 131 West 25th Street in Manhattan, New York

The Program Compliance Coordinator works as part of the Program Compliance team to ensure that BRC programs provide high quality and safe client services that meet funder regulations. The position is responsible for identifying program compliance risks and potential violations , then mitigating risk by implement ing best practices aimed at maintaining the h ighest standards of care and creat ing a secure service environment. The position works with the full breadth of BRC’s housing and treatment programs, which operate under a variety of city, state and federal regulations . The Program Compliance Coordinator reports to BRC’s Director of Program Compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement a compliance risk assessment plan.

  • Create risk trend analysis reports and dashboards reports for senior leadership .

  • Serv e as a member of the agency-wide safety committee to review incidents and risk mitigation from an insurance perspective , including providing real-time reporting of key incidents to committee members and insurance partners.

  • Prepare agency-wide incident data summaries and conduct trend analyses on a quarterly basis to identify trends and potential areas for further action .

  • Along with the Incident Management Coordinator, c onduct and/or coordinat e logistics of incident investigations assigned internally and externally.

  • Coordinat e with program management, external organizations and city officials to address subpoenas, warrants and documentation requests.

  • Develop and maintain agency policies and procedures focused on mitigating risk and based upon relevant city, state, and federal laws and regulations .

  • Collaborate with program manage ment across the agency for special projects and tasks.

  • Embrace and embody the mission, core values and goals of BRC, including supporting agency efforts to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned.

    Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Demonstrated judgment and discretion with regard to confidential information.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail, accuracy and pacing.

  • Superior computer literacy skills (e.g., Microsoft Suite, Outlook) and the ability to learn new computer applications with ease. Knowledge of EHR systems; AWARDS database is a plus.

    Qualifications:

  • BA required in Human Services, Social Work, or related field; Masters preferred.

  • Prior work experience in human services, behavioral health or related fields is required.

  • Experience in the area of compliance or quality assurance is strongly preferred.

*Vaccination preferred but not required.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00AM- 5:30PM

  • Hybrid work schedule (3 days in office)
