Bowery Residents Committee Payroll Coordinator - 131 West 25th Street in Manhattan, New York

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform all activities necessary to process biweekly payroll for approximately 1,200 employees in rapidly expanding non-profit organization. Update payroll records by entering information from W4 and other tax forms. Enter various voluntary and involuntary deductions. Review and process garnishments. Perform bi-weekly reconciliation of payroll prior to submission and validate reports for accuracy. Prepare payroll reports for management and audit purposes. Prepare reports for DOL. Monthly reconciliation of payments and invoices. Maintain current knowledge of applicable state, federal and local wage, and hour laws. Prepare manual checks as needed. Promptly respond to any payroll-related questions from employees and managers. Make updates to supervisors’ access to timecards in ADP. Issue and distribute paychecks, when necessary. Provide instruction to staff and managers on use of ADP. Related duties as assigned.

HOURS:

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:30 pm

  • Partially Remote

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Solid hands-on payroll experience required preferably with ADP WorkForce Now and time & attendance systems. BA preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office . Great attention to detail. Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with team members
