GENERAL FUNCTION

The RLB Strategy and Business Development team works with the RLB Executive Team and other key stakeholders across EssilorLuxottica to build growth strategies for the business. The Manager of Strategic Operations will be responsible for identifying and managing improvement opportunities within the Managed Vision Care (MVC)/insurance space as well as other strategic initiatives within the brand. These may range from growth initiatives to operational excellence activities, and other critical projects. The ideal candidate is someone with great intellectual curiosity and who thrives in ambiguous cross-functional situations.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible to improve Managed Vision Care (MVC)/insurance sales by identifying and bringing to life current and new opportunities for RLB as well as future business development opportunities:

  • Serves as the business subject matter expert for MVC category and the ever evolving legal landscape in both US and Canada

  • Manages the relationship with insurance partners for the brand

  • Supports creation of annual strategy and of executive level updates for MVC initiatives

  • Develops in-depth analysis around business performance, like sales, guest count, conversion and other KPIs

  • Understands in-store insurance systems, processes and impact on guest experience

  • Based on data analysis and current processes, identifies improvement opportunities and develops new initiatives

  • Defines project plans and leads cross functional teams to implement current and new initiatives that drive guest count, sales, profit, and a positive guest experience

  • Owns insurance training programs, providing expertise and developing content

  • Supports Director of Strategy and Business Development in developing and managing strategic initiatives:

  • Develops in-depth analysis and insights around business performance (like sales, discounts, segment performance) and industry data

  • Based on analysis, identifies improvement opportunities and develops action plan by collaborating across different stakeholders

  • Defines project plans and leads cross functional teams to implement current and new initiatives that drive guest count, sales, profit, and a positive guest experience

  • Supports creation of executive presentations, such as annual and quarterly strategy updates

  • Ability to build relationships and trust with Business Leaders, team members and with external partners

  • Maintains frequent oral and written communication with management and other stakeholders

  • Creates and manages project plans and timelines. Documents meeting notes, next steps and provides status updates

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree in business/highly analytical field

  • 3+ years of strategy experience either interal or with a Top-Tier consulting firm

  • Solution oriented mindset with ability to think critically, challenge the status quo, understand root causes, and develop strategic frameworks

  • Proficient at analyzing large quantity of data

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Fast learner who is pro-active and curious by nature

  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; able to perform initiatives valuations

  • Experience in running multiple complex cross-functional projects independently and simultaneously

  • Effectively navigates the organization, leveraging creditability to influence

  • Strong work ethic

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA preferred

  • Retail and insurance experience

​Pay Range: 116,366.27 - 176,868.80

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
