CLEAR Employer Services Electronic Security Systems Field Technician in Manhattan, New York

The Field Technician must be able to work in Manhattan, NY and is responsible for the installation and maintenance of electronic security systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation of security technology; including client/user training.

  • Maintenance of client security technology; including all applicable hardware and software updates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (not essential)

  • 5 plus years of proven experience with the installation and maintenance of electronic security systems.

  • High school diploma or equivalency and/or certification in technology.

  • Ability to interface professionally with clients/users and security management.

  • Detailed knowledge of CCTV/ACS installation and application methods as well as the ability to troubleshoot.

  • Knowledge of New York City code regarding the proper installation of the above.

  • Strong knowledge of data networks and their ability to transmit alarms/video to central- stations or other remote sites.

  • Mount and install electronic equipment.

  • Perform functions associated with the installation of security systems such as cable running, soldering, and termination.

  • Hold responsibility for driving equipped company vans. All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Experience performing each of the job responsibilities outlined above in an associated industry.

  • PC literacy in a Windows environment, MAC helpful.

  • Must possess a clean valid driver's license. Understanding of electronics and the ability to read drawings and schematics.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Must possess strong organizational, efficiency, and detail-oriented skill sets.

  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance. Professional presentation and demeanor.
