Bowery Residents Committee Digital Communications & Content Manager - 131 West 25th Street in Manhattan, New York

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Creation and management of digital content (text, graphics, photography, video) for the BRC website and social media platforms. Create content and provide support for broader organizational communications strategies, outlined by the Communications Director and Chief Development Officer.

Digital Content Creation & Management

  • Oversee the creation and management of targeted content for BRC’s website, social media accounts, and video platforms.

  • Manage and monitor website content, working with the Director of Communications to measure and evaluate its effectiveness over time. Must be able to use the website building software, Wix, and its accompanying analytics.

  • Strengthen and expand the organization’s social media presence across platforms, including the use of advertising channels.

  • Design digital content templates for use in organizational email campaigns, including but not limited templates on Mailchimp and Raisers' Edge.

Design & Visual Communications

  • Create and oversee the creation of digital and print graphics, info metrics, audio content, and video that effectively tells the BRC story. Must have experience using graphic design software. Candidates with experience using Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

  • Create branded collateral and other materials for BRC fundraising, marketing, and other events.

  • Maintain a media library of BRC content that can be utilized for a wide variety of communications projects.

Administrative / Operations Support

  • Maintain a content marketing calendar that schedules all aspects of the creation and delivery of content throughout the year

  • Provide support to BRC Chief Executive Officer and Chief Development Officer as directed with follow-up tasks across the spectrum of internal and external project assignments.

Full-time

Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm

Qualifications:

BA Preferred

Superb writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to translate complex ideas into accessible and engaging prose.

Energy, initiative, intellect, flexibility and a team player.

Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Computer literacy in Wix a plus.
