Our nursing team provides direct patient care in our fast-paced environment by utilizing their technical skills and are given the opportunity to continue to advance their skillset. Communication and leadership skills are utilized daily to facilitate the daily schedule, coordinate student orientation and teaching. Our Veterinary Nurses work closely with students, interns, residents, and senior clinicians.   • For a Veterinary Nurse I: Completion of a two year college program in veterinary and animal technology accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association.
  • For a Veterinary Nurse II: Completion of a two year college program in veterinary and animal technology accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association and two years of relevant experience.
  • For a Veterinary Nurse III: Completion of a two year college program in veterinary and animal technology accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association and five years of relevant experience as a state credentialed veterinary technician (RVT, LVT, CVT).

\ Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
  • Must be registered a a paraprofessional under the authority of the Kansas Board of Veterinary Medicine Examiner within six months of appointment.
