Eversource Energy Senior Energy Efficiency Consultant in Manchester, New Hampshire

As a Senior Energy EfficiencyConsultant,you willadvise large-scale commercial customers in developing and executingenergy efficiency projects byidentifyingtechnologies that support energy-saving solutions forhighly energy-intensive facilitiesYou will guide these customers in managing their energy consumption and achieving their sustainability goals, making a substantial impact on the consumptionof their facilities and communities. Through your daily exchanges with customers, contractors, engineers, and teammates,your focus will be on achieving energy-saving goals which help these important customers save energy and money. This position is unique because you will have the opportunity to mentor other energy efficiency consultants, provide thought leadership and interface with the largest customers and most complex opportunities.

This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providetechnicalexpertiseto motivate high-energy consuming customers to implementenergy efficiency strategies. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of complex building mechanical systems including boilers, chillers, energy management systems and other equipment and building controls, and steam systems.  
  • Develop expert level knowledge of all energy efficiency programs available andutilizethe mostadvantageousprogram for each project. 
  • Review and approve complex projects using a proven understanding of energy engineering, data analysis, and energy savings calculations.andas well as implementation strategies for new technologies. 
  • Lead the integration of strategic activities between the customer, advisory consultants, and vendor/contractors. 
  • Develop and design technology implementation strategies and initiatives,maintainingproactive thought leadership within the commercial and industrial sector. 
  • Execute projects according to compliance requirements with ratepayer-fundedenergy efficiency programs. 
  • Drive customer engagement byfacilitatingtechnical assessment studies andworking in andunderstanding customer long term planning and execution of energy efficiency projects. 
  • Execute the budgeting, evaluation, and tracking of expenses and energy savings of project offerings. 
  • Mentor junior teammates on best practices in energy efficiencyanddecarbonization. 
  • Coordinate withinternal and external partnersinimplementation, marketing,regulatorycompliance, and sales.  

Qualification

Technical Knowledge/Skills:

  • Requires ability to interpret energy efficiency products and services and understand their application. 
  • Self-starterwho takes initiative to work independently with a focus on successful results 
  • Requires solid working understanding of financial principals and advanced working knowledge of PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word,PowerPointand Excel). 
  • Experience with decarbonization strategies and technologiesis a plus. 

Education:

  • Requires abachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Environmental Science/Policy, or a related discipline.

  • Advanced degree a plus. 

Experience:

  • Five (5)plus years of relevant experience in energy efficiency services, engineering, architecture, project management, technicalsalesand technical administration.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industrial processes or HVAC systems. 
  • Experience and/or aptitude in customer service.  
  • Experience and ability to communicate clearly and effectively through written correspondence and presentations. 

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred. 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is$110,000 - $123,000plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.
