BAE Systems Chief Engineer in Manchester, New Hampshire

Job Description

Ready to make a difference? BAE Systems is looking for a Chief Engineer to work as and lead a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team to design, integrate, debug, test, and deliver next generation EW systems. Focused on delivering innovative Electronic Warfare (EW) solutions, individual technical contributions on a related range of Programs will include system development, requirements development, integration & test, and test planning and execution in a field deployment environment. As a Chief Engineer responsibilities may include:

  1. Leads a multidisciplinary team of engineers on EW related programs.

  2. Leads one of more of the following systems engineering functions:

  3. Reviews, develops and documents system level operational concepts and mission statements.

  4. Develops and evaluates system designs and architectures.

  5. Leads system level integration and test of systems.

  6. Verifies and validates system designs to ensure conformance with functional specifications and customer requirements.

  7. Supports proposal development activities, including proposal text development, cost estimating and presentation activities.

  8. Preparing and deliver customer and technical presentations.

  9. Will have multiple contacts with customers, other contractors and government officials.

  10. Performs systems engineering functions such as developing and managing systems level requirements, developing operational systems concepts, performing system architecture trade studies, originating design concepts or performing systems level integration and test for complex systems.

  11. Expected to independently formulate and implement system solutions.

  12. Support to factory operations to ensure on time delivery of the highest quality products.

This position will require you to be onsite in either Nashua NH or Manchester NH. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site . This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience in a relevant field) with a minimum work experience of:

8 Years with BS

6 Years with MS

4 Year with PHD

  • Possess an Active US Government security clearance (with ability to possess TS)

  • Leadership skills and experience directing and mentoring engineers on complex programs

  • Experience in effectively documenting, communicating, leading and working with a team on designs, results, reports, and presentations.

  • Experience performing systems engineering activities across the development cycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test) through production

  • Experience developing viable concept solutions, identifying and tracking technical risks, and leading technical teams

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related engineering discipline

  • Experience with EW and/or Radar and Missile Systems

  • Experience with technical performance measurements and control account management

  • Model based systems engineering experience with tools such as MagicDraw

  • Active United States security clearance, Top Secret, SCI Eligible

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
