In BT Global we have organised a multi-disciplinary team of people to deliver this transformation, we call this Digico.

In order to deliver this strategy, we are organising our approach around common business Capabilities across Sales, Fulfilment, Billing, Service, Customer Interaction Channels and Finance Management. These capabilities describe how our future digital business will operate and how we deliver outstanding customer and employee experiences. These capabilities require a discrete combination of People, Process, Data, Technology and Experience.

As a Process Lead within DigiCo, you will lead a team of Process Designers and Procedure Writers in the definition of future business processes for BT Global, across the end-to-end customer journey and core business capabilities. You will manage and prioritise process design activities in alignment with the capability and proposition roadmap and backlog, ensuring the development of reusable process blocks which are optimised for efficiency and clearly understood by business teams and engineering teams alike. You will be accountable for the end-to-end consistency and coherence across all business process designs.

You will ensure process designs are completed to the required quality and have been effectively tested and validated by key stakeholders and inputting teams. As part of this, you will support the prioritisation of process design work and help align and manage dependencies with technology teams. Process Designers will be working as part of the Agile Release Train and your role will be to support the continuous prioritisation and refinement of their backlog.

Across this portfolio of business processes, you will ensure there is coherence and consistency in the outputs produced by the team, with clear ‘Definition of Done’ and continuously supporting the team to optimise their flow of work. You will coach and guide the process designers in the best practices and standards which are expected, to drive high quality outputs across the team.

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Work with the capability owner lead, proposition owner lead, and other senior stakeholders to plan resourcing needs to support the Digico roadmap

  • Manage recruitment of process designers and procedure writers in conjunction with the capability owner lead and proposition owner lead

  • Prioritise and manage the backlog of process design work in alignment with business priorities

  • Govern and maintain the process taxonomy and end-to-end view of process building blocks

  • Work with process designers to agree any addition of or major changes to process blocks

  • Work with process designers to resolve any process issues within squads, maintaining repeatability focus

  • Support the definition and evolution of DigiCo’s approach to development of reusable capabilities

  • Align with customer experience, user experience and service design teams to ensure consistent prioritisation of work and alignment in outputs

  • Ensure consistency of practice across Teams and Squads in the definition and application of process designs

You'll have the following skills & experience


  • Business process modelling, analysis and design

  • Deep expertise in core process methodologies and notation (e.g. BPMN)

  • Broad understanding of core business processes for large-scale telecommunications organisations

  • Comfortable working with distributed teams in a collaborative and flexible fashion

  • Excellent leadership, communication and relationship building skills

  • Time management, prioritisation for value

  • Problem solving and creative thinking aptitude

  • Stakeholder management: ability to manage and influence stakeholders with competing priorities

  • Comfortable working with distributed teams in a collaborative and flexible fashion

  • Able to cope with ambiguity


  • Detailed experience and understanding of typical Lead to Cash (L2C) processes, having defined end-to-end processes and process taxonomies in previous roles

  • Significant experience as a Process Designer and/or Process Lead in business transformation or product delivery projects/programmes

  • Experience with BPMN 2.0 and ARIS preferred

  • Extensive experience and knowledge of agile methodologies and best practices
