About the opportunity:

Jacobs has secured multiple multi-year Frameworks and Projects with leading Clients in the UK, Ireland and across the Globe. Water is looking for skilled and highly motivated people that are looking to grow their careers in exciting new ways to deliver on these fantastic opportunities in the Water Industry and beyond.

Successful candidates will join our team of nearly 600 water professionals, who work on a range of high-profile projects. They will become part of a World Leading Company with excellent career prospects. You could be delivering project tasks, designs and in a multi-disciplinary, multi-company environment on water and wastewater infrastructure and facilities at various stages in the project life cycle, working within our multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects within agreed timeframes and budget.

We are looking for experienced Assistant Project Managers across to join our Manchester and Warrington Office to support our Project Managers and to reinforce our existing team and further support our frameworks with UK Water Companies.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Successful candidates will have:

  • A masters degree or similar relevant to the environment, water, or construction sectors

  • Demonstrable evidence of working toward obtaining a professional qualification (CHPP or similar) with a recognised professional institution

  • An understanding of current health, safety and welfare legislation

  • Experience of a range of contract forms, in particular nec3/4

  • An understanding of technical work in the environmental/water sector

  • The ability to operate autonomously and be skilled in developing relationships

  • A knowledge of earned value analysis on projects

  • A knowledge of project quality and delivery plans

  • A proactive attitude and be keen to help strengthen client relationships and contribute to the growth of our business
