TheInstallation Technicianis a hands-on position supporting the companys sale of wood, pellet and gas appliances and inserts and building relationships with new-appliance customers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Install stoves and accessories according to standards, manufacturer\'s instructions, and local building codes
  • Work outside in varying weather conditions and temperatures
  • Maintain company vehicles and tools
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety standards and procedures
  • Maintain a positive and professional image with homebuilders and consumers
  • Keep job site clean and pick up before leaving site
  • Maintain working knowledge of all fireplaces, stoves, and related products along with any manufacturer\'s changes
  • Maintain effective communication with sales staff (outside and inside) and field operations to ensure installation is completed and meets quality standards
  • Complete and return all paperwork and photos on a daily basis
  • May train others on manufacturer\'s installation standards
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Candidates must have experience working with hand and power tools, be mechanically inclined, and possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience in construction, HVAC, or similar industry a plus.
  • Must have a valid driver\'s license and meet our driving standards.
  • Will be required to become certified by the National Fireplace Institute

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, some college or college degree a plus
  • 12-18 months of trade-focused experience a plus
  • 12-18 months in a customer service role a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Comfort with heights.
  • Ability to manipulate and safely use all required equipment and PPE.
  • Ability to withstand prolonged exposure to varied outside temperatures and inclement weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift 75+ pounds.

Compensation \$20 plus bonuses and benefits
