Sonalysts, Inc. Systems Engineer in Manassas, Virginia

Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking an intermediate level systems engineer with excellent problem solving and communication skills to design, integrate, and test the Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS). If you are passionate about working with multiple development teams to analyze and solve challenging problems, and enjoy making a difference, this job is for you.

What you will be doing:

  • Coordinating with software development teams on the delivery of new SWFTS capabilities including:

  • Defining and documenting SWFTS software and network interface requirements and design details

  • Tracking software delivery timelines and ensuring all teams are working to a consolidated delivery schedule

  • Scheduling and supporting integration and test events

  • Developing and executing test plans

  • Documenting SWFTS intersystem interfaces using Cameo System Modeler (Magic Draw) Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools.

  • Work requires full time on site support at a classified lab in Manassas, VA.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible for a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance*

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical degree

  • 3 years of experience in software development, systems engineering, or integration and test activities

    Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working on SWFTS or other Department of Defense combat systems

  • Experience with UML/SysML and MBSE tools

  • Networking and/or cyber certifications

  • Officer or Enlisted experience on board US submarines

  • Possessing an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance*
