Lockheed Martin Prep for Ship Assembler in Manassas, Virginia

Description: The candidate will perform assembly tasks associated with Prep for Ship activities for all Manassas programs. Works from diagrams and drawings and uses hand and/or power tools. Activities will include paint / touch-up of units, final assembly of unit deliverables for presentation / sell-off to customer, and the assembly and presentation of spares and returns for final sell-off to various Navy customers.

Basic Qualifications:

-experience in a paint shop environment

- Self-motivated and able to perform most tasks with limited oversight.

- Experience working in a manufacturing environment

-Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions

- Ability to interface and communicate at all levels.

- Demonstrates team work and promotes an inclusive work environment.

- Requires basic computer skills.

Desired Skills:

- Excellent situational judgment and innovative continuous improvement.

- Experience with Solumina functionality is a plus.

- Ability to read and understand shop documentation used during the performance of job duties.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills and will be proficient using data processing systems including the Microsoft Office Suite.
