East Coast Fireplace is looking to add to their service team. We are looking for experienced Chimney Repair & Service Techs & Chimney Sweeps. We are looking for certified technicians but will be willing to help an experienced person obtain any necessary certifications and grow their career.Are you looking for professional and personal growth? We have several opportunities to add to your skills as a chimney and service technician. Masonry experience is a plus.Responsibilities:Perform thorough inspections of chimneys to identify any potential issues or hazards.Clean chimneys and flues to remove soot, debris, and blockages using appropriate tools and techniques.Repair or replace damaged chimney components such as bricks, liners, caps, and dampers.Install new chimneys, including assembling and fitting components, ensuring proper ventilation and compliance with building codes.Conduct chimney relining to improve efficiency and safety.Provide expert advice and recommendations to customers regarding chimney maintenance, safety, and repairs.Keep accurate records of work performed, including inspection reports, maintenance records, and customer interactions.Requirements:Proven experience as a Chimney Technician, Chimney Sweep or a similar role.Knowledge of chimney systems, components, and maintenance practices.Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations related to chimney installations and repairs.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and carry heavy equipment.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Willingness to learn new skills and be a team player and leader.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Benefits:Competitive salary, $30 - $35 an hour with overtime based on experience.Commissions available for lead techniciansOngoing training and professional development opportunities.Supportive work environment with a collaborative team.Tools, equipment, and company vehicle provided.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:Paid time offProfessional development assistanceSchedule:OvertimeYear round workPeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyWork Location: In person
