Essential Responsibilities: Sustain production line, daily statistical process control (SPC) monitoring, Cpk improvement, and troubleshooting for process and tool issues in support of semiconductor manufacturing efforts. Work on tool set up, qualification, and tool matching. Improve process robustness for high-volume manufacturing using statistical tools, design of experiment (DOE) techniques, data driven decision-making and systematic problem solving skills. Use lean manufacturing and Six Sigma processes. Design, execute, and analyze experiments to develop advanced frontend-of-line (FEOL), middle-of-line (MOL), and back-end-of-line (BEOL) etch processes to meet technology (e.g. performance, yield, and reliability) and manufacturing (e.g. process stability, cost of ownership) targets. Support the Integration team and Quality organization to ensure technology meets qualification and reliability requirements.Other Responsibilities:• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.Required Qualifications: • Education – Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering or a related field of study.• Experience – Requires experience in or knowledge of: (1) SPACE SPC tools; (2) structured problem solving; (3) FMEA line yield improvements; (4) Creating and improving Corrective Action Specifications; (5) Design of Experiments (DOE) and JMP; (6) Tool matching and performance improvements; (7) Semiconductor etch equipment; (8) plasma techniques. Experience or knowledge may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, internship, or teaching.In lieu of Master’s degree, the Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering or a related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered, as a Process Engineer or related occupation.
