Do you want to make a difference in the life of a student? Maize is seeking caring, consistent, adults to join our paraeducator team. Paraeducators work closely with teachers to provide extra support to students in the classrooms and throughout the school environment.

Some of our students need support due to behaviors. These students typically exhibits behaviors that are considered significantly different from same age peers given the setting and circumstances in which they occur. Students require specially designed programming in order to engage in academic tasks and comply with general conduct requirements in a general education setting. Additional training is provided to paras working with these students.

During the interview process, we will provide more detailed information regarding the day to day duties of the specific paraeducator position.

Successful Candidates

Pass a background check

Have a current TB test

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Are strong team players

Possess basic computer and math skills

Must enjoy a fast pace environment

Can spend 80% of their day standing and 20% walking Time is spent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using finger dexterity

Maintain regular and acceptable attendance/punctuality
