PeopleReady Conveyor Installer in Mahwah, New Jersey

PeopleReady Skilled Trades is now hiring Skilled Trades workers to mechanically install conveyor systems. Conveyor belt systems are built to move products from one place to another throughout distribution centers, vital for production processes. In this position you will work closely with a team assisting in the installation of material handling conveyor systems to include assembling and leveling parts, aligning rollers, installing belts in machinery, tightening bolts, and adjusting tension rollers. Candidates with a mechanical background strongly encouraged to apply. 

Note - The pay rate for this job is $21.53 / hour

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize hand and power tools to complete the installation of material handling conveyor systems.

  • Mechanically install conveyor belts using rigging and winches; rotating spools.

  • Study blueprints and manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation of machinery.

  • Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.

  • Observe and test newly installed equipment ensuring proper function, diagnosing malfunctions using testing devices.

 Qualifications:

  • Ability to read blueprints

  • Ability to pass a tier 1 background

  • Ability to operate hand and power tools such as pipe-wrench, socket, impact drill, etc.

  • OSHA 10 certified or willingness to obtain

  • Previous experience in renewables, welding, iron working, electrical, specialty installation, and skilled construction strongly preferred
