The Software Delivery Manager will oversee agile software engineering teams to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of software solutions that align with strategic business objectives. This role involves significant collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior management to integrate software development with the company's strategic goals. This position is part of the Group IT department and directly reports to the Head of Software Engineering.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute software delivery strategies that support organizational objectives. Drive the adoption and implementation of agile methodologies across business, IT & digitalization organizations to enhance team performance and project outcomes.

• Team and Project Management: Lead multiple software engineering teams, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement while fostering an entrepreneurial and high-performance team culture. Oversee all phases of the software development lifecycle to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Help to remove obstacles and provide an environment and ecosystem for high developer productivity.

• Quality and Standards Enforcement: Uphold high standards of software quality through rigorous testing and adherence to best practices in code security, performance, and scalability.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for all project-related communications with stakeholders, providing timely updates and managing expectations.

• Resource and Risk Management: Efficiently allocate resources and identify potential project risks, developing effective mitigation strategies to handle issues as they arise.

• Financial and Operational Oversight: Manage financial budgeting and fund allocations within a large matrixed environment, ensuring optimal use of resources for project success.

• Professional Development: Mentor and develop team members to build skills, enhance team capability and allow for career progression.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• At least 3 years of experience in software project portfolio management, with additional experience in team leadership and software engineering roles.

• Comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle (DevOps) and agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams and projects in a fast-paced and globally distributed environment.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Professional certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, Certified Scrum Master).

• Experience in digital transformation initiatives and promoting business growth through innovative software solutions.

• Knowledge of sustainability and clean technology practices within the industry.

• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
