Our recycling operations in Spain, CARPA, play a key role in how we bring the circular economy to life in the country. This business is among the largest recyclers in the wider Madrid area, operating three waste treatment and recovery warehouses in Fuenlabrada, Vicálvaro and Toledo.

We're currently looking for a Project Manager who will lead and direct multiple projects within Carpa organization. We're aiming at making a step change to increase the service level, fiber quality and cost optimization towards internal customers.

This role will collaborate with members of box plants, mill and Carpa organization to deliver projects that will ultimately have positive impact on financial performance of Carpa and service to the mill.

You will:

  • Under general supervision, lead and direct projects for a business-sponsored project or provides guidance and oversight in the definition of small scale experiments

  • Work closely with other IP organizations to maximize the integrated value of IP EMEA

  • Provision the appropriate resources within business organization or potential vendors

  • Manage cost, scope, risk, progress and issues associated with the projects

  • Create and monitor project schedules

  • Define and execute projects to improve higher quality fiber flows towards Carpa

  • Facilitate result oriented project teams within the Carpa organization

  • Develop new sources of fiber supply from IP box plants outside of Iberia

You have:

  • Bachelor degree in finance or engineering or similar

  • 1-3 years project management experience

  • Fluency In English and Spanish

  • Knowledge of French, Italian or Portuguese will be an asset

  • People management skills

  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to write clear, concise business communication for multiple levels (management, technical, user)

  • Experience in recycling business

  • Ability to travel (30% of the time)
