Amazon Studios is the movies and television development and production arm of Amazon. It is our role to produce original content and license studio programs worldwide in exclusive service of Amazon’s Prime Video customers. We need your passion, innovative ideas, and creativity to help take us to new heights.

We are currently seeking an experienced Sr Production Executive / Head of Productions, Scripted to be based in Spain to aid Amazon Studios’ scripted series productions, co-productions, and licensed programs in Spain. The team will need your support across overseeing budgets, schedules, and overall Spanish productions for Amazon Studios. This role will work with Post-Production, Marketing, PR, Legal, and Business Affairs. You will be interacting with both internal and external stakeholders at the studio and show level.

Responsibilities

• Track and process approvals and production payments with Business Affairs, Legal and Finance.

• Monitor and support all Local Original Series projects in development and production.

• Ensures major milestones are met (e.g. budget lock, budget approval, kick of calls, deliverables etc.)

• Coordinate kick-off calls with development for each individual project.

• Meets with show producers, production managers and creative executives in regards to schedules, budget and all production related matters and issues.

• Is on-set when necessary to evaluate work-flow, budgets and potential problems.

• Analyzes budgets and cost reports.

• Acts a liaison from producers to Head of Production – Local Original Productions at Amazon Studios based in Culver City.

• Will create and update production charts for projects in territory.

Basic Qualifications

Basic qualifications :

• Experience as Producer/Production Executive or the equivalent with primary experience producing content in Spain

• Experience of creative, production, post production processes and related workflows

• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and cost reports

• Experience solving problems related to the production of content

• Experience in MM Budgeting and Scheduling

• Experience working with local guilds and unions

• Experience working on both domestic and international productions in Spain

• Able to travel when required for business mtgs and direct oversight.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with MMB budgeting and MMS scheduling (One-Liner, Day Out Of Days, etc.) documents.

• Strong understanding of major unions, guilds, contractual terms and deal structures in the Spanish entertainment industry

• Professional English and Spanish language oral and written fluency

• Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines

• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role

• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
