The Cyber Defense Cloud DevOps Engineer is a member of the Cyber Defense Center (CDC), which is primarily tasked with detecting, analyzing, investigating, and defending against sophisticated digital attacks.

You will focus on driving specific operational processes and help design and implement technical solutions with state-of-the-art tools capable of handling large volumes of data where scalability, consistency, stability, security, and maintainability are key, while fostering continuous improvement.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Support the team on AWS and PaaS DevOps, Architecture, and Integration topics.

  • Manage AWS platform using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and custom scripting / automations.

  • Secure AWS platform through the implementation of best-practices and compliance guidelines.

  • Support at-scale deployments of containerized applications on AWS.

  • Support at-scale management of PaaS environments such as “Elastic Cloud”.

  • Participate in Monitoring-driven Incident and Problem Management processes, including debugging, mitigation, and root-cause analysis.

  • Assess and translate functional and operational requirements into detailed architecture and technical implementation.

  • Interface and collaborate with external providers and partners.

  • Contribute to knowledge creation and sharing.

  • Drive continuous improvement.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a technical position.

  • 2-5 years of successful work experience in DevOps, IaC and AWS.

  • Hands-on experience with IaC, preferably using Terraform / Terragrunt.

  • Experience with automating cloud native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure, namely on AWS.

  • Experience with DevOps technologies, including Automation, CI/CD, and Configuration Management.

  • Strong experience on AWS, namely its most well-known managed services, like: S3, Lambda, ELB/ALB, RDS, VPC, ECS / Fargate, API Gateway, CloudWatch, etc.

  • Scripting experience with Python and Bash for automation purposes.

  • Autonomy working with the Linux shell environment.

  • Knowledge of general networking concepts and network-level troubleshooting.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers, partners, and customers.

  • Experience writing structured technical documentation.

  • Demonstrated ability to train and guide colleagues.

  • Good interpersonal skills and strong team mindset.

  • Ability to work autonomously in a hybrid work environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated professional maturity and presentation skills.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • AWS Certification degree, e.g., AWS Solution Architect, AWS Developer, AWS Sysops Administrator.

  • Experience in the Cybersecurity area.

  • Experience with Elastic’s ELK stack and Elastic’s Cloud PaaS.
