JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Department of Surgical Sciences of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a part-time or full-time Teaching Professor, Teaching Associate Professor, or Teaching Assistant Professor in Small Animal Surgery. The successful candidate will join the Small Animal Surgery Section, which is comprised 7 full-time ACVS Diplomates, 6 residents/interns, and a dynamic group of certified veterinary technicians. The UW Veterinary Care teaching hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment including arthroscopy, 3T MRI, CT and ultrasound, 3D printing, and force-platform gait analysis. The Department and School are interested in continuing to develop our innovative academic programs, including translational clinical research studies in small animal genetics, musculoskeletal imaging, arthroscopic surgery, integrated trauma care, 3D printing for limb deformity correction, total joint arthroplasty, and virtual mechanical testing using finite element modeling, acquired laryngeal paralysis neuropathy in dogs, and tooth resorption in cats.
