JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: This position will be responsible for patient care and surgery, teaching and clinical research responsibilities including the training of medical students, house staff and fellows. The position will provide neurosurgical services for UW Health and will be a key collaborator with other faculty in the neurological surgery and spine programs and services at UW Health affiliated hospitals and clinics. Successful candidates will develop new teaching programs as well as enhance existing programs; attract patient referrals to the service; develop a plan to present information concerning neurosurgery statewide; serve as attending on spine and neurosurgery inpatient and consult services and outpatient clinics; and participate in clinical activities at UW Health, UnityPoint Health Meriter Hospital, VA Hospital and affiliated hospitals and clinics. Submission of applications for extramural funding and presentation of results at meetings and in publications is expected.
