JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Department of Neurological Surgery is a department of over 20 faculty and 13 advanced practice providers located at 2 main sites: University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics and 20 S. Park/Meriter Hospital. This is a diverse group of neurosurgeons who provide primary, secondary, and tertiary inpatient and outpatient care for Wisconsin and northern Illinois. The successful candidate will join a world-class institution that encourages, values and supports interdisciplinary basic, clinic and population health research, and attracts scholars and students from around the world. This position would be part of Neuro ICU team which includes physicians from neurosurgery, neurology and emergency medicine. Clinical responsibilities include serving as the 24/7 onsite attending physician in the Neuro ICU during the assigned weeks. Attending duties are shared among the Neuro ICU physicians and will depend upon the number of faculty but is expected to be 1:5.
