We are looking for a self-motivated and passionate engineer with an interest in renewable energy, the evolution of the generation fleet and the transmission system to join our team. This position will be engaged with planning new renewable energy, energy storage systems as well as other generation types. This involves the navigation of projects through the MISO generation interconnection queue, performing modeling to analyze the impacts of the changing resource fleet and finding the best solutions to system and customer needs. The position will also be involved in local and regional transmission planning and understanding ways the transmission system can be optimized using alternative solutions, energy storage and other technologies. We are seeking candidates that are willing to learn and assume an influential role within the team. Our ideal candidate has an Electrical Engineering degree, experience with the MISO generation interconnection process and proficiency with transmission modeling tools such as PSS/E, TARA and TSAT. This is a hybrid-remote position reporting to the Cedar Rapids, IA or Madison, WI office. Candidates must reside in Iowa or Wisconsin.
