JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: Dr. Kathryn Howell is seeking a full time Research Specialist to assist in her new growing lab. Dr. Howell\'s program of research centers on the promotion of resilience among youth and families exposed to violence and other forms of adversity. Much of her work focuses on the development and evaluation of community-based, strengths-focused interventions for violence-exposed groups, including youth experiencing family violence and women exposed to intimate partner violence during pregnancy. This position will be responsible for initial set-up and maintenance of lab protocols; coordinating, conducting, and monitoring participant assessments; corresponding with the IRB; assisting in ongoing research protocols, including coordination with outside collaborators; supporting the training and oversight of undergraduate students; community outreach to develop research partnerships in the local community; and participation in team and project-management related activities and trainings. Responsibilities: Develops, designs, and conducts one or more research projects and organizes daily operation of projects and specialized research areas to ensure work meets established objectives under moderate supervision. 25% Conducts research experiments according to established research protocols with moderate impact to the project(s). Collects data and monitors test results 5% Operates, cleans, and maintains organization of research equipment and research area.
