Position Overview/Summary The Product Development Intern, with guidance from more experienced scientists, will assist with sample processing, reagent preparation, execution of bench experiments, data assembly, data analysis, and data presentation to support the development of future cancer diagnostic products. Essential Duties Include, but are not limited to, the following: Assist with general laboratory duties and other support duties. Safely operate scientific instrumentation and equipment. Follow all biosafety guidelines when working with blood and/or stool specimens. Conduct basic, bench level experiments to generate data. Execute established quantitative nucleic acid amplification (qPCR) methods. Assist with immunoassay development and/or optimization. Assemble and analyze data, with guidance from more experienced scientists. Maintain an accurate lab notebook. Complete assignments in the expected time frame. Exercise excellent attention to detail when executing experiments and other duties. Demonstrate strong ability to work effectively within the team and department. Apply strong written and oral communication skills to present experimental results to supervisor and other scientists. Display basic problem-solving and critical thinking skills to overcome obstacles. Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork. Support and comply with the company\'s Quality Management System policies and procedures. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
