JOB REQUIREMENTS: Summary of Major Responsibilities The Metrology Associate II services custom, complex and off-the-shelf laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Job responsibilities include assembly, installation, calibration, routine maintenance, investigation and diagnosis of failures, repair, requalification, and filing service reports. This position will also assist in writing and reviewing calibration procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install instruments and perform installation and operational qualifications. Investigate and diagnose failures with installed instruments and equipment. Write and review Standard Operating Procedures. Perform troubleshooting activities and repair instruments and equipment to service specifications. Maintain program for preventative maintenance (PM) and calibration of laboratory equipment. Complete and submit accurate and detailed service records. Track all service activities and ensure documentation is complete, timely, and accurate. Perform all service activities in compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory bodies (OSHA, ISO, FDA). Maintain and continuously develop personal knowledge and expertise related to the service of complex clinical laboratory equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
