JOB REQUIREMENTS: Medical Assistant, Nephrology - 31139 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work Schedule : 100% FTE, 40 hours/week, day shift. Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm, no weekends are required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Pay : UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay. You will find your work as a Medical Assistant in Nephrology both rewarding and challenging. UW Health\'s Nephrology specialists evaluate, manage and treat a wide range of conditions including acute kidney injury, glomerular disease, chronic kidney disease, kidney stones, kidney transplant and lupus nephritis. As a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN), you will: * Work in collaboration with the team to provide patient care. * Assist with rooming patients, point of care testing and patient phone calls. * Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness and education. Equal Opportunity Employer-minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education : Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following: * Completion of an accredited medical assistant program OR * Licensure as an LPN OR * Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program OR * Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee OR * Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated OR * One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification Work Experience : Preferred - One (1) year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Licenses and Certifications : Minimum - * Certified as CMA, RMA, or CCMA or eligible for certification.
