American Family Insurance - Corporate Lead Business Systems Consultant - Claims Security in Madison, Wisconsin

You will lead the brainstorming, conceptualization, prioritization, and initiation for future system use and enhancements. Work with technology areas to clarify our requirements where needed and helps develop the test strategy and plan for complex projects. You will oversee the research on complex system issues and coordinate resolution. Evaluate business system application developments and technologies within the insurance industry and business markets that are relevant to the business and future business strategy.

You will report to a Business Systems Senior Manager.

Position Compensation Range:

$95,000.00 - $161,000.00

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Security efforts and Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations for security and access automations

  • Annual security audit review

  • Incident and problem management resolution

  • Oversee requests for Enterprise Claims Center (ECC) administrative updates, including hierarchy changes

Requirements:

Primary Accountabilities

  • Conduct advanced data analysis with the ability to query enterprise-scale databases and use data from associated systems to address problems.

  • Query large databases/source systems to test and explore defects.

  • Engage with technology areas and represent the business-on-business issues and requirements for large system projects.

  • Partner with teams to understand needs, gather and analyze requirements, perform data analysis, support change management, training and testing efforts.

  • Gather and document business rules functional requirements and data definitions.

  • Collaborate to resolve inconsistencies and inadequacies in requirements.

  • Partner with technology areas to develop user acceptance testing and quality assurance test scenarios and cases working to ensure data delivery meets our requirements. Collaborate with partners to produce and maintain accurate test documentation.

  • Manage blockers, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, balance our needs versus technical constraints, and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences.

  • Communicate with senior management on status, risk mitigation, and product strategy.

Specialized Skills Requirements

  • Demonstrate experience providing customer-oriented solutions or support.

  • Demonstrate experience developing relationships with internal and external partners.

  • Knowledge of business systems and how to apply them to use efficiencies in a business environment.

  • Experience with project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools.

  • Experience with systems development life cycle (SDLC).

Additional Job Information

This is a hybrid role that involves working at least 10 days per month in the office. Work locations for this role include: Madison, WI or Boston, MA
