JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: Providers with the Division of Hospital Medicine provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses at UW Health practice sites. They are also provided the opportunity to grow the next generation of physicians through hands-on instruction of residents, fellows, and medical students. Our Division prides itself on building a team of empathetic and collaborative physicians who are dedicated to improving the field of Hospital Medicine through clinical and scholarly endeavors. Successful candidates will demonstrate not only their comprehensive clinical knowledge, but their ability to build trusting relationships with patients from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences. They will also be energized by a unique diversity of practice and the opportunity to work on a highly skilled multidisciplinary team. We seek candidates who are equally compassionate and comprehensive in their care, and enthusiastic to teach this approach to groups of dedicated and eager learners. Responsibilities: Clinical track duties: The incumbent will be expected to provide clinical patient care, admitting and managing hospital inpatients. The incumbent will also provide medical consultation within the hospital; teach residents, medical students, fellows in relation to patients on the hospitalist service; and participate in system-wide quality improvement projects at UW Health approved locations.
