Job Title: Help Desk Technician

Location: Madison, WI - Hybrid Work Schedule (Includes Local Travel)

Salary: $50-60,000/year

Robert Half is currently seeking a Help Desk Technician for our client in Madison, WI, who can provide top-notch support to our various teams and clients. In this role, you will assist users, troubleshoot hardware and software, and maintain a high level of professionalism to ensure client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address technical issues involving Microsoft's entire suite of business applications and operating systems

  • Support, maintain and update hardware and software for desktops, printers, and mobile devices

  • Provide hardware and software support for servers

  • Work with firewalls, switches, and wireless access points

  • Log client issues accurately in our ticket management system

  • Demonstrate a thorough customer service focus which meets client satisfaction results

  • Exhibit complete accountability of incoming tickets, addressing time-sensitive issues promptly

  • Communicate issues/solutions effectively and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work with vendors to ensure customer environment stability

  • Willingness and ability to travel on-site to meet customer needs

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Superior communication and customer service skills

  • Active driver’s license and auto insurance

  • Familiarity with Windows and/or Apple operating systems

  • Proficient in remote hardware troubleshooting

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Group and Forms

  • Familiarity with Azure AD, Microsoft Endpoint, Autopilot, and Intune

  • General knowledge of Microsoft Exchange (On-Premise and Online), VMware, and Hypervisor technology

  • Understanding of networking including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP

  • Adeptness in using Microsoft Server technologies

  • Must acquire relevant certification within six months of being hired
