JOB REQUIREMENTS: Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, or forward calls, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments. Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations. Schedule appointments and maintain and update appointment calendars. Hear and resolve complaints from customers or the public. Receive payment and record receipts for services. Perform administrative support tasks, such as proofreading, transcribing handwritten information, or operating calculators or computers to work with pay records, invoices, balance sheets, or other documents. Transmit information or documents to customers, using computer, mail, or facsimile machine. Collect, sort, distribute, or prepare mail, messages, or courier deliveries. Provide information about establishment, such as location of departments or offices, employees within the organization, or services provided. Perform duties, such as taking care of plants or straightening magazines to maintain lobby or reception area. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: AMS, a specialty retail store featuring audio and video for your car, home, or business, is looking to fill our clerical position. We are looking for a friendly, honest, dependable person with a good worth ethic and a positive attitude. Must be able to use a computer and knowledgeable in excel. Previous office experience is a plus but NOT necessary. Reliable transportation is also a requirement. You will be responsible for but not limited to answering the phones, greeting customers and directing them to the right departments, invoicing sales, collecting payments, daily close outs of the point of sale system, making confirmation appointment calls to customers, and general office duties. Hours will be 20+ per week with the ability to work additional hours when coverage is needed. Starting pay will range form \$16-\$19 per hour based on experience.
