The Family Health Educator is a committed individual who provides health education and support services to the community in the areas of Family Health, focusing on childbirth, infant care, and feeding. This position provides a crucial link to the hospital and prepares families for childbirth, their hospital stay, and early postpartum period in our family-centered care environment before they transition home. This position will provide flexibility in scheduling.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Fluent in Spanish – native speakers only

  • Can perform all job duties in English and Spanish

  • Experience with childbirth, breastfeeding, or infant care.

  • Experience teaching adult learners.

  • Experience with technology.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and group setting.

  • Able to incorporate different methods of learning into groups, including the use of all types of audio-visual equipment.

  • Remains current with all learning applications, evaluations, and meetings throughout the year

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • RN License and/or experience in obstetrics, labor and delivery and postpartum

  • Certification as a childbirth educator or in lactation

  • Experience in Labor Support

  • Experience in Postpartum or Labor and Delivery

  • Experience in working and educating diverse populations.
