Trachte, LLC Electrical Supervisor - 1st Shift, 2,500 Sign on Bonus in Madison, Wisconsin

The primary responsibilities of the day shift Electrical Supervisor will be to supervise and coordinate activities of Electricians engaged in construction, maintenance and repair of electric power and lighting systems of plant and product buildings by performing the following duties.

  • Directly supervises employees and subcontractors in the electrical department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning & directing work and personnel management.

  • Plans wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers, switchgear and panel boards.

  • Inspects wiring and fixtures for conformance to company specifications or local electrical codes.

  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

  • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers.

  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.

  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

  • Maintains time and production records

  • Confers with other staff to coordinate activities of individual departments

  • Performs quality control testing of product buildings for compliance to intended operations performance, corrects installation defects and provides process follow-up documentation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years related electrical experience

  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience

  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC)

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products

  • Effective oral and written communications

  • Must be able to work 6:00am - 4:30pm

  • Journeyman or Master Electricians license preferred
