JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Department of Pediatrics at The University of Wisconsin is recruiting an exceptional Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrician to join our Division of Developmental Pediatrics & Rehabilitation Medicine. We are looking for candidates with a track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions as demonstrated through training and/or practice experience. The UW Department of Pediatrics is a vibrant academic department comprising over 200 faculty in seventeen subspecialty divisions. The Department promotes and enhances the health of children through outstanding clinical care, exemplary education of pediatric trainees, performance of cutting edge research and vigorous advocacy. Our Division of Developmental Pediatrics and Rehabilitation Medicine comprises a unique combination of subspecialty services for children with a wide range of developmental needs. Our clinics provide developmental care and assessment for children, including high risk NICU graduates, and children with developmental disabilities and autism, including children with genetic conditions and medical and behavioral complexity. The dynamic and growing division includes a faculty neuroscientist, 8 faculty physicians, and 3 pediatric nurse-practitioners. Developmental Pediatricians work collaboratively with a large interdisciplinary team, which includes psychologists, speech-language pathologists, physical and occupational therapists, dietitian, nurses, and social workers/family navigators. We are housed at the Waisman Center, a facility devoted to the advancement of knowledge about human development, developmental disabilities, and neurodegenerative diseases. The Waisman Center encompasses laboratories for biomedical and behavioral research, a brain imaging center, and a clinical biomanufacturing facility.
