Role Snapshot

The Courier at WPS Health Solutions performs messenger/courier duties related to pick up and delivery of various items at corporate locations (and other locations as specified) throughout the surrounding area.

In this role you will:

  • Transport payroll to designated building locations for distribution to employees

  • Deliver legal documents to state and federal offices as needed

  • Sign for and pick up certified and other special mail at US Post Office

  • Transport daily deposits to the bank and picks up materials as needed

  • Perform courier duties as needed to surrounding business and medical facility locations

  • Delivers US mail, interoffice correspondence and parcels to all specified building locations

  • Serve as back up to couriers who deliver to Homeworker employees

  • Performs related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Valid driver’s license with no moving violations or accidents in last three years

  • Basic mechanical aptitude in order to provide feedback for vehicle repair and servicing.

  • Working knowledge of SCLogic asset tracking system or equivalent

  • Working knowledge of UPS and FedEx asset tracking systems

  • Understanding of inventory management practices and principals within warehouse/distribution environment

  • Ability to lift heavy materials, up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a courier

  • Ability to be trained to operate forklift, scissor lift and pallet jack equipment

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to follow written/verbal instructions

  • Ability to make changes rapidly on short notice

  • Ability to hand-deliver items

Additional Information

  • Must live within vicinity of Madison, WI campus location

  • Start Date: November 4th, 2024

  • Starting Base Salary: $16.20

  • Scheduled Shift: 6:30am – 2:35pm CST M-F

  • Work Location: This role requires in person work at our new 5049 Tradewinds Parkway location in Madison, WI. Employee is required to live within the vicinity of this office location.
