JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Division of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (UW SMPH) is recruiting an exceptional board-certified or board-eligible otolaryngologist with fellowship training in pediatric otolaryngology to serve as the section chief of complex pediatric otolaryngology-head & neck surgery. We are looking for candidates with a track record of clinical excellence, academic contributions, program building, and mentorship as demonstrated through training and/or practice experience. This position involves joining a burgeoning section of pediatric otolaryngologists with tremendous opportunities for growth clinically and in all arms of the academic mission. Clinical resources and opportunities include: - The primary ambulatory and hospital practice site is American Family Children\'s Hospital (AFCH) in Madison, Wisconsin as part of UW Health Kids. AFCH is a world-class children\'s healthcare center with a full spectrum of medical and surgical resources including neonatal and pediatric intensive care, as well as advanced trauma care, perinatal care, fetal diagnosis and treatment, and a children\'s cancer center. - The section of pediatric otolaryngology practices a full breadth of complex pediatric otolaryngology, including advanced open and endoscopic airway surgery, cochlear implantation, and ex utero intrapartum treatment (EXIT) procedures - Pediatric Otolaryngology faculty participate in UW Health Kids supported multi-disciplinary teams including the Craniofacial Abnormalities Clinic (CFAC), Pediatric Aerodigestive Clinics Team (PACT), Pediatric Tracheostomy Clinic, and Birthmarks and Vascular Anomalies Clinic. - Dedicated pediatric audiologists and speech-language-voice pathologists support and advance the shared academic mission of excellence in patient care, education and research. - Significant potential and planning for continued program growth is anticipated and desired.
