JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description POSITION PURPOSE: Bartenders are responsible for creating a memorable experience for our guests in the brand new bar area. You are in charge of making their stay exceptional! Our team of bartenders offer top notch customer service by learning our guest\'s preferences and exceeding their expectations along with creating a comfortable atmosphere. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar area. Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality. Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner. Promotes and documents orders for food and drinks. Mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control. Maintains cleanliness of bar and guest areas throughout shift. Locks up and stores all beverages, food, and other equipment items; deposits cash drops; and secures bank. Performs general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Previous bartending experience preferred but not required, food & beverage experience preferred. Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders. Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes. Sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnishes, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock. Evening and weekend availability is required.
