Summary This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULICS SYSTEMS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR - Title 32, Position Description Number D0802000 and is part of the WI 115 MXS, Wisconsin Air National Guard. This vacancy is also advertised as AGR MVA 24-066 Responsibilities As a AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULICS SYSTEMS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR - Title 32, WS-8268-9, you will supervise workers on a day-to-day or project-by-project basis, either directly or through one or more subordinate leaders, in accomplishing the work operations of the organizational segment or work shift and to perform associated nonsupervisory work. The occupation and grade level which best reflects the nature of the overall work operations supervised is Aircraft Pneudraulics Systems Mechanic, WG-8268-10. Requirements Conditions of Employment MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Military Grades: E-6 through E-7 Compatible Military Assignments: AFSC: 2A6X4 Trainees Accepted* Conditions of Employment: - National Guard Membership is required. - Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. - Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. - Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. - May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. - Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. - This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. - Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. - Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates that the candidate has the ability to organize assignments for subordinates, estimate material and manpower needed for specific jobs; able to explain manuals and work procedures; and to prepare production records, work records and reports. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, to qualify for the WS-09 level, you must have at least 36 months experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
